UFC President Dana White revealed during UFC 130 festivities over the weekend that former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar had successful surgery on Friday that will hopefully put an end to stomach problems that have hampered his career over the last few years.
“Brock Lesnar actually had surgery yesterday,” White revealed. “They removed about 12 inches of his colon, repaired it, he feels great. He said he’s a little sore, but the operation was a huge success.”
“We’re hoping he can be back by the first of the year,” White stated.
Lesnar was forced to pull out of a scheduled June clash with Junior Dos Santos following a stint as coach on The Ultimate Fighter but a second bout of diverticulitis put him on the shelf.
